Mr. Johnny Whitley, age 77 of Snead, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at his residence.

Mr. Whitley was a business owner and farmer. He was a member of Snead United Methodist Church. He loved to fly, loved wood working, and he loved farming. Most of all, he loved his family.

Johnny is survived by his wife: Rebecca Williams Whitley of Snead, AL.; his children: Steve Whitley of Snead, AL. and Pat and Kathy Whitley of Snead, AL., his grandchildren: Rebecca Lane and Rick Roberts, Shawnte' and AJ Bembry, Shae' Westbrook, Wesley Whitley, and Jill and Jordan Adams; 4 great grandchildren; his brother: Henry and Jane Whitley of McClarty, AL.; and special caregivers: Helen Nash, Maria Delliapree, and Ricky McKay.

Mr. Whitley is preceded in death by his parents: Henry Grady and Mavis Irene (Gunter) Whitley.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 2:00pm at The Chapel of Snead Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Mr. Whitley will lie in state at Snead Funeral Home on Sunday from 5:30pm until 8:00pm and Monday from 9:00am until funeral time. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Big Oak Boys Ranch.

Wayne Snead, Rodger Little, Mickey Irvin, Jim Miller, Harold Mason, Mike McEvoy, Tim Whitley, and Jimmy Whitley will serve as Pallbearers.

Harry Robertson, Dennis Massey, Brad Mason, Ronald Saye, and Ronny DeLoach will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
