Mr. Johnny B. Melcher, age 83 of Walnut Grove, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022 at his residence.

He was a member of the Blue Holly Clan of So. Eastern Cherokee Tribe.

Survivors invlude his wife – Shirley Jean (Goble) Melcher; children – Wayne Melcher (TI), Rhonda Wolff, MaLisa LeSueur (Jack), Kelly Mitchell, Denise Tolbert, and David Mitchell (Alicia); grandchildren – Johnny Wayne Melcher (Kristin), Anna Wolff, Landon Wolff, Elizabeth Barnett, Eli Barnett, Kaydie LeSueur, Crystal Shirley (Sean), Nicholas Tolbert, Mike Maddox, Danny Maddox, and Charlie Maddox; 13 great grandchildren; 3 great – great grandchildren; and sister-in-law – Lena Melcher.

Mr. Melcher is preceded in death by his parents – Woodrow and Erlene (Atkins) Melcher; and brother – William 'Bill' Melcher.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 2:00 PM at The Chapel of The Snead Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Old Snead.  Mr. Melcher will Lie In Repose, at Snead Funeral Home, Saturday from 12 (noon) until Funeral Time.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Snead Funeral Home to help the Melcher's with the funeral expenses of both their parents (a Preneed account has been set up for Mrs. Melcher at Snead Funeral Home for any excess funds).
