Mr. Johnathan Larry Nelson, age 31 of Albertville, AL., passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Huntsville Hospital.

Johnathan was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was an avid reader and enjoyed most outdoor activities including gardening, fishing, and hunting. He was partial to a good hunting dog and loved the country life. He was also an excellent marksman with a slingshot. He enjoyed spending time with his daughters, niece, and nephews more than anything else. He will be greatly missed and always remembered.

Mr. Nelson is survived by his daughters: Delilah Kay Nelson of Albertville, AL., Josie Nelson of Mobile, AL., and Ava Nelson of Albertville, AL.; his mother: Brenda Williams Nelson of Albertville, AL.; his sister: Trela Nelson of Horton, AL.; his grandmother: Dimple Faye Nelson of Oneonta, AL.; his niece and nephews: Britney Dainelle Nelson, Hunter Lane Huie, and Dillion Larry Nelson all of Horton, AL.; and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends.

Johnathan is predeceased in death by his father: William Larry "Leo" Nelson; his grandfather: Herbert Eugene Nelson; and his grandparents: Walter & Doris Williams.

Lee Atilano will conduct the funeral service on Friday, May 29, 2015 @ 2pm at the Chapel of Snead Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery. Mr. Nelson will lie in state at Snead Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:30pm until 8:00pm and Friday from 8:30am until funeral time.

Pallbearers will be: Richard Williams, Matt Stewart, Chuck Stewart, Joseph Chamblee, Greg Vaughn, and Jason Vaughn. James David Nash and Jimmy Lynn Nelson will serve as a Honorary Pallbearers.
