Mr. John Franklin Cornelius, age 70 of Oneonta, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012 at his residence.

John Franklin Cornelius married the love of his life, Doris Patterson 43 years ago. He attended Bethel Baptist Church,
he was a member of The United States Air Force, and was a Corporate Pilot for Harburt Corporation for 30 years.

He is survived by his wife; Doris Patterson Cornelius, daughter; Kim and Keith LaRue of Oneonta, son; Mike and Mandy Cornelius of Keystone Heights, FL, grandchildren; John Patterson LaRue and Anna Brooks LaRue, brothers; Bob and Kay Cornelius of Blountsville, and Jack Cornelius of Blountsville, very special friend and brother in law; Jim Patterson of Snead.

Mr. Cornelius is going home to meet his granddaughter; Macy Brook Cornelius, his parents; Ermine and Lavada (Yates) Cornelius and his brother; Carlton Cornelius.

Brother Mike Allums will conduct the Funeral Service and Kim LaRue will give the Eulogy at, The Chapel of Snead Funeral Home, Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 11 A.M. with interment in Wynnville Cemetery. Mr. Cornelius will Lie In State, at Snead Funeral Home, Tuesday from 9 A.M. until funeral time.

Pallbearers will be Peter Brandler, Jed Jacobson, Stephen Hertz, David Black, Patrick Kangeter, and Benjamin Norwood.
