Mr. John L. Bodine, Sr., age 88 of Oneonta, passed away Monday, February 01, 2021 at his residence.

He is survived by his wife – Virginia Vargas Bodine; children – Joyce (William) Yancey, Shelia Netherton, Barbie (Bobby) Jolly, Doris Clem, John A. (Pat) Bodine, Calvin (Jen) Bodine, Alvin Bodine, Barbara (Rickey) Hall, and Louise (Will) Bodine; 22 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; siblings – Kenneth (Rita) Bodine, James (Doty) Bodine, Dan (Vicki) Baugh, Charles (Diana) Baugh, Tim (Debbie) Baugh, Shelia Baugh, Jane Rich, and Martha Baker; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Mr. Bodine is preceded in death by his mother – Susan (Kirkland) Bodine Baugh; father – Albert Bodine; son – Roy Gene Blackwood, Jr.; grandson – Michael Clem; brothers – Raymond Bodine and Earl Bodine; and sisters – Jan Taylor and Betty Keely.

Brother Joey Kirby will conduct the Funeral Service on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at The Chapel of The Snead Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Church of God Cemetery.  Mr. Bodine will Lie-In-Repose, at Snead Funeral Home, Saturday from 12 (Noon) until Funeral Time.

Pallbearers will be – Nicky Clem, Shea Putman, Harry Wheeler, Robert Steele, Jr., John E. Bodine and Stephen Blackwood.
