Mr. Joe David Kilpatrick, age 77 of Athens, AL., passed away Friday, September 1, 2023 at Huntsville Hospital.

Mr. Kilpatrick was a member of Snead United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his sister – Regenia Kilpatrick Fowler James; special friend – Wichien 'Ott' Choosilp; nephew – Joshua Johnson; great nephews – Eli Johnson and Jaxon Johnson; and a host of cousins.

Mr. Kilpatrick is preceded in death by his parents – Robert Verbon Kilpatrick and Claudie Irvin Kilpatrick Owen; brothers-in-law – Wayne 'Polly' Fowler and Bill James; grandparents – Robert David Kilpatrick and Verna Holland Kilpatrick, Mack Irvin and Nannie Hamby Irvin.

Brother Bric Latham and Billy Irvin will conduct the Funeral Service on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at 1:00 PM at The Chapel of The Snead Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Morton's Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Kilpatrick will Lie-In-Repose, at Snead Funeral Home, Sunday from 12:00 PM until Funeral Time.

Pallbearers will be – Garry Kilpatrick, Phillip Dendy, Larry Brewer, Tony Hall, Josh Johnson, and Ken Lambert.
