Mrs. JoAnn Bannister, age 80 of the Nixon Chapel Community of Horton, AL., passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2016 at Marshall Medical Center North.

Mrs. Bannister is survived by her husband - Ondell Bannister; her son and daughter-in-law - Ken and Pam Mozley; her son and daughter-in-law - Randy and Misty Bannister; her grandchildren - Blake and Angel Mozley; Brooke and Brian Plott, Brayde Bannister, and Kaitlyn Bannister; her great grandchildren - Ellie Mozley, Maddie Mozley, and Pierce Plott.

She is preceded in death by her parents - John L. and Kyra Roberts Wallace; and her sister - Sandra Lang.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 9, 2016 at 2:00pm at The Chapel of the Snead Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Nixon Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Bannister will lie in repose at Snead Funeral Home Thursday from 5:00pm - 8:00pm and Friday from 12(noon) until funeral time.

Mac Lang, Blake Mozley, Frank Lang, Doug Holmes, Eric Teague, and Jeff Mosley will serve as pallbearers and Brayde Bannister will serve as honorary pallbearer.
