Mrs. Joan Horton Brock, age 56 of the Mt. Hebron Community of Boaz, AL., passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at her residence.

Mrs. Brock was born to Jimmy and Jean Horton on January 28, 1959. She is a 1977 Graduate of Mortimer Jordan High School. On July 16, 1977 she married the love of her life, Randy Brock. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church where she impacted many lives, in the community, with food distribution.

Joan loved to spread the Gospel of God through the mission field of the Ukraine and to the woman of Tutwiler.

She was God's Faithful Servant.

Mrs. Brock is survived by her: Husband - Randy Brock of Boaz, AL.; Sons and Daughters-In-Law - Andrew and Jennifer Brock of Birmingham, AL. and Bradley and Abigail Brock of Boaz, AL.; Grandson - Will Brock of Boaz, AL.; Father - Jimmy Horton of Gardendale, AL.; Brother and Sister-In-Law - Terry and Loretta Horton of Morris, AL.

Joan is predeceased in death by her mother - Jean Horton.

Sam Hollis and Morris Stephens will conduct the funeral service on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 2:00pm at Bethany Baptist Church in Douglas, AL. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Hanceville, AL. Mrs. Brock will lie in state at Snead Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:30pm until 8:00pm and Thursday from 9:00am until 12(noon) then at the church from 1:00pm until funeral time.

Jonathon Horton, Nathan Horton, Jesse Brock, Brian Brock, Cody Hill, and Andrew Daniels will serve has pallbearers.
