Mr. Jimmy Ray Ellison, age 60 of Boaz, AL., passed away Friday, August 26, 2016 at his residence.

Mr. Ellison was a self employed lawn care technician.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law - John and Brenda Ellison of Attalla, AL.; his brother and sister-in-law - Walter and Diane Ellison of Horton, AL.; his brother-in-law - Roger Jimmerson; his nephews and their wives - Phillip and Belinda Murphree, Bryan and Christina Ellison, Brannon and Destin Ellison, Stacey and Amanda Brogdon, Carl and Tammy Brogdon, and Marty and Denise Ellison; his nieces and their husbands - Diane and Mike McCurly, Judy and Josh Wilemon, Renea Kettles, and Georgia Ellison; and his special friends - Mike Wright, Rex Hamby, Billy Ray Stephens, Terry Grace, and Preston Jimmerson.

Memorial Funeral Service will be held Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 11:00am at The Chapel of the Snead Funeral Home. Mr. Ellison's cremains will be buried at Harmony Cemetery near Altoona. The Ellison Family will receive friends at Snead Funeral Home Wednesday from 4:30pm - 8:00pm.

Mr. Ellison is preceded in death by his wife - Ann Ellison; his father - Verbon John Ellison; his mother - Mildred Skillman Ellison; his brothers - Howard Ellison and Harold (Doc) Ellison; his sisters - Francis Kittle and Marie Jimmerson; and his nephews - Jeremy Ellison and Heath Ellison.
