Mr. Jim E. Yancey, 76 of Horton, Alabama was born on December 26, 1948, to George Washington and Thelma Bell (Hart) Yancey and passed away on July 15, 2025.  He is preceded in death by his siblings, Valeria Downs, Clara Latham, Ladora Morris, Mimmie Adams, Beecher Yancey, and Tom Yancey.

Mr. Yancey is survived by his wife, Margie Walker Yancey; his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Minnie Yancey; his grandchildren, Christian Phelps and Jason Basham, Jr.; his great grandchildren, Axel Phelps and Gabriel Phelps; and his siblings, Roberta White and Gertha Lynn.

The family will receive friends, at Snead Funeral Home, on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm.
