Mrs. Jessie Wallace, age 101 of Snead, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Golden Living Center in Oneonta.
Jessie was a homemaker and loved to take care of the sick. She was the oldest member of High Mound Missionary Baptist Church. She was married to her late husband, Ike Wallace, for 62 years.
Mrs. Wallace is survived by her children Freddie & Jim Pruett of Anniston and Faye Milam of Southside. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, a host of great-great grandchildren, and daughter-in-law Ruth Wallace of Tarrant.
Mrs. Wallace is preceded in death by her husband Ike Wallace, children Jackie Wallace, Floyd Wallace, and Bonnie Lowe; grandchildren Bobby Lowe, Tommy Lowe, and Gina Lynn Harding; great-great grandchild Brodi; daughter-in-law Faye Wallace; son-in-law Wayne Milam; parents Robert & Annie Dyer Beshears; and siblings John Willie Beshears, Laura Fountaine, R.L. Banks, Estell Beshears, Nell Cornelius, and Vernice Harris.
Paul Kelly and Jimmy Frachiseur will conduct the funeral service on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 @ 1:00pm at the Chapel of Snead Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery. Mrs. Wallace will lie in state at Snead Funeral Home on Wednesday from 11:00am until funeral time.
Pallbearers will be Dewayne Johnson, Ronnie Wallace, Cody Wallace, Dillon Lail, Jerry Nixon, and James Pruett.
