Mr. Jerry Alton Smart, age 67 of Snead, AL., passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 at his residence.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years and 11 months – Sarah Smart, his daughter and son-in-law – Susan and Richard Mason of the Mt. Hebron Community, his son – Jimmy Smart of the Mt. Hebron Community, his grandchildren – Gavin Smart, Maggie Smart, and Riley Mason, his sister and brother-in-law – Joyce and Raymond Talley of Brooksville, AL., his sister and brother-in-law – Faye and Joel Kitchens of Georgia, his mother-in-law – Estelle Downs of Boaz, AL., as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Mr. Smart is preceded in death by his parents – Emmett Cecil and Kathleen (Hastings) Smart, his sisters – Katie Hollis, Rosie Jones, and Janie Williams, and his brothers – Bobby Smart, Clyde Smart, Grady Smart, and Jimmie Smart.

Brother Michael Yopp will conduct the Funeral Service Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of The Snead Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery in Old Snead.  Mr. Smart will Lie In Repose, at Snead Funeral Home, Saturday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.

Pallbearers will be - Jason Cahela, Jaden Cahela, Jessie Downs, Randy McBrayer, Matt Camp, and Chris Smith.

Honorary Pallbearer will be - Hunter McBrayer.
