Mr. James "J.D." Keener, age 60 of Altoona, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at UAB Hopsital.

He is survived by his sisters – Amber James (Kirk) of Madison, and Kathy Bergen of Pieora, AZ; his nieces and nephews – Nicholas Harbison, Braden James, Chloe James, Christopher Walton, and Andrea Walton; as well as a host of very close friends who loved him dearly.

Mr. Keener is preceded in death by his father – Elbert Keener; his mother – Elizabeth Yerkey; his step-father – Benton Yerkey; and his brother – Johnny Keener.

The family has elected cremation and will have a Memorial Service at a later time.
