Jaxson Lane Benefield, of Douglas, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the age of 4 weeks.

Jaxson is survived by his parents Angel Smart and Matthew Benefield of Douglas; his brothers Derrick Hudgins and Brodie Benefield both of Douglas; his sisters Makayla Benefield, Taylor Benefield, and Kylee Benefield all of Douglas; his grandparents Dwayne and Tammie Smart of Douglas, and Donna Benefield of Albertville; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jaxson is preceded in death by his granddad Rickey Benefield; great grandparents Clyde Smart, Joe & Betty Tant, and Jimmie Batie; and uncle Steven Smart.

Jared Chapman and LeRoy Windsor conducted the 10am funeral service on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the Chapel of Snead Funeral Home. Interment followed at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Visitation was held at Snead Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

Pallbearers were Brayden Timmons, Morgan Parker, and Landon Smart.
