Mrs. Jane Simmons Downey, age 50 of the Wilson Chapel Community of Snead, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at St. Vincent's East in Birmingham.

She is survived by her husband; Jeff Downey, Sr., sons; Clint Lumpkin of Snead and Jeffery Downey, Jr. of Atlanta, GA, daughter; Heather Downey Venable and husband Joey of Atlanta, GA, granddaughter; Khloee Downey of Atlanta, GA; father; George "Tick" Simmons, Sr. of Gadsden, sister; Joan Deweese and husband Tim of Steele, AL, brothers; George Simmons, Jr. and wife Rhonda of Gadsden and Jeff Simmons and wife Tiffany of Gadsden.

Brother Ray Simmons will conduct the Memorial Funeral Service, in the Chapel of Snead Funeral Home, Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 3:30 P.M. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2:30 P.M. until service time.

Mrs. Downey is going home to meet her mother Linda Simmons.
