Mr. James Rudolph Murphree passed away March 23, 2012 at Marshall Medical Center South.

Mr. Murphree was born December 6, 1930 to McLoy and Jessie (Tidwell) Murphree and was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Wheeler Murphree; son, Jamie and Laura Murphree of Snead, AL; daughter, Donna and Aurthur Klemme of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Lynn and Bobby Crawford, Joey and Ann Doty, Tiffany Davis Ross, Artie Klemme, Matthew and Sam Klemme, Nicole Klemme, Tella Murphree and Scottie, Alana Murphree, Lindsey Murphree, Madison Murphree, Heaven Murphree, and Andrew Sims; 14 Great Grandchildren; sister, Martha and Darryl Ray of Oneonta, AL; a host of nephews and one very special neice, Anna.

Mr. Murphree is also survived by wonderful, close and loving in-laws, Daddy-In-Law, Morris Ratliff; Mother-In-Law, Peggy Ratliff; and Sister-In-Laws, Cindy Vincent and Diana Wheeler.

Mr. Murphree is predeceased by his parents, McLoy and Jessie (Tidwell) Murphree; Grandson, Jerry; and Brother, Talmadge Murphree.

Brother Randy Smith conducted the Funeral Service on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at 3 P.M. from the Chapel of Snead Funeral Home. Interment followed in Zion Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Donny Ray, Todd Ray, Bobby Crawford, Ronald Murphree, Jim Murphree, Jason Thomason, Justin Vincient, Tracy May.
