Mr. James Edward Hawkins, age 82 of Susan Moore, AL passed away Friday, April 3, 2020 at Diversicare in Oneonta.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Barbara Hawkins of Susan Moore; his grandson – Justin Hawkins of Susan Moore; his siblings – Alma Gill (Kenneth) of Blountsville, Sue Evans (David) of Georgia, Jean Stracener (Curtis) of Georgia, Sharon Dutton of Hayden, Jack Hawkins of Blountsville, and Helen Massey; 3 daughters, 2 sons, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; and his 3 dog babies.

Mr. Hawkins is preceded in death by his parents – William and Ethel (Strickland) Hawkins; and his brothers – Hubert Hawkins and Bruce Hawkins.

Brother Don Garrison conducted the Private Funeral Service on Monday, April 6, 2020 at 1:00 PM at The Chapel of The Snead Funeral Home.  Interment followed at Hood Cemetery.
