Mr. James "Jimmy" Cordell Harvey, age 74 of Susan Moore, AL., passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at St. Vincent's Birmingham.

Mr. Harvey retired from the State of Alabama Highway Department in 1994 after 25 years of service.

He is survived by his wife - Katherine Harvey of Susan Moore, AL.; his son and daughter-in-law - Michael Cordell and Judy Harvey of Oneonta, AL., his son - James Richard Harvey of Susan Moore, AL.; his granddaughter and her husband - Ashley and Mike Smith of Alaska, his granddaughter and her husband - Lola Harvey and Joe Wright of Anniston, AL., his grandson and his wife - Scott and Patti Farmer of Oneonta, AL.; his great grandchildren - Vashti Sparks, Anthony Sparks, Cinnaminson Wright, Serenity Wright, Cole Jennings, Heather and Jason Chiarella, and Dalton and Kayla Farmer, his 9 step-grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren.

Mr. Harvey is preceded in death by his wife - Shirley Harvey; and his parents - B.C. and Bernice (Waid) Harvey.

Brother Paul Sims will conduct the funeral service Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at The Chapel of the Snead Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery. Mr. Harvey will lie in repose, at Snead Funeral Home, Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Hern, Joe Wright, Scotty Clanton, Dalton Farmer, Rodney Windsor, Terry Harper, and Ronnie Lake.
