Mr. James Sherman Bibby, of the Wynnville Community of Susan Moore, AL., passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at the age of 82.

Mr. Bibby loved the Lord and would tell his story of how Jesus Christ saved his soul. He was a heavy machine operator for Drummond Coal Company and was also a reserve police officer for the Snead Police Department under the supervision of Police Chief Ezra Poole.

Sherman is survived by his wife Frances Goble Bibby of Wynnville; his daughter Virginia Bibby Jensen of Wynnville; his son Gene Bibby of Walnut Grove; his grandchildren Rena & Michael Tidmore of Arab, Dale & Denise Murphy of Boaz, Maranda Murphy of Gadsden, Frankie & Shawn Haven of Walnut Grove, and Collene & Alan Crider of Mountainboro; and his great grandchildren Roy "Josh" Daugherty, Luke Tidmore, Logan Tidmore, Braxton Haven, Ivey Haven, Nicole Brown, Makayla Brown, Dolton Brown, Isaac Slaton, Ian James Slaton, and one on the way.

Mr. Bibby is preceded in death by his parents Floyd & Essie Brooks Bibby and his siblings Mozelle, Gladis, Dyeltha, and Louise.

Russell Golden will conduct the funeral service on Friday, May 1, 2015 @ 1pm at the Chapel of Snead Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Wynnville Cemetery. Mr. Bibby will lie in state at Snead Funeral Home on Friday from 12(noon) until funeral time.
