James Leonard Barron, born October 24, 1972, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026, in Altoona. He was 53 years old.
James touched the lives of many with his strength, kindness, and unyielding support for his family and friends. He cherished every relationship he built, always placing those he loved above all else and embodying unwavering loyalty. His life was marked by the warmth and care he extended to others, a legacy that will endure in the hearts of all who knew him.
James is survived by his beloved daughters, Lexi Bernal and Allie Barron. They were the source of endless pride and joy in his life. His role as a grandfather brought him immense happiness, and his grandchildren—Remi Bernal, Delaney Bernal, and Jovey Bernal—brought light into his days. They will carry his memory with them for years to come.
James leaves behind a close-knit and loving family, including his sisters Shelia Barron and Melanie Dixon, and his brothers Bud Barron, Bobby Russell, and Eric Barron. Their deep connection reflects James’s commitment to family and the bonds that meant so much to him.
He is preceded in death by his son, Andrew Heath Barron, who held a special place in his heart. Also preceding him in passing are his father, James Barron, mother, Glenda Creel, sisters Rita Mooneyham and Cindy Hernandez, and brothers Ray Barron and Shean Barron. The memories they shared with James brought joy and companionship throughout his life.
James Leonard Barron will be remembered for his devotion to family, his enduring kindness, and the lasting impact he had on those around him. His absence will be deeply felt, but his spirit lives on in the love and memories he leaves behind.
