Mrs. Irene Elizabeth (Lacks) Works, age 98 of Walnut Grove, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Altoona Health and Rehab.

She is survived by her children – Autry Works, Truman Works, and Janice Garrard (Jackie); grandchildren – Neva Umphrey (Josh), Keith Hollingsworth (Kelly), Eric Works, Chad Garrard (Becky), and Jill Garrard; great grandchildren – Jackson Umphrey, Taylor Hollingsworth, Jossalin Works, Tori Garrard, Jessi Garrard, and Alli Garrard; and great-great granddaughter – Parker.

Mrs. Works is preceded in death by her husband – Grady Works, grandson – Jason Works, and brother – John L. Lacks.

Pastors Andrew Mikkelsen and Joshua Mikkelsen will conduct the Funeral Service on Monday, April 11, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Walnut Grove Church of God.  Interment will follow at Altoona Walnut Grove Cemetery.  Mrs. Works will Lie In State, at Walnut Grove Church of God, Monday from 11:00 AM until Funeral Time.

Pallbearers will be – Autry Works, Truman Works, Jackie Garrard, Chad Garrard, Keith Hollingsworth, Eric Works, and Josh Umphrey.

In Lieu of Flowers the family asks that donations be made to Walnut Grove Church of God in Mrs. Works Memory.
