Mrs. Inez Daugette, age 84 of Altoona, passed away Monday, September 24, 2012 at her residence.

She born November 25, 1927 to William Daniel and Hettie Leigh (King) Smith. She was married to the love of her life Bernard Daugette for 66 years.
She was one of the Founding Elders of Whispering Hope Church in Boaz and she taught Sunday School at Morton's Chapel United Methodist Church for 10 years.

Mrs. Daugette is going home to meet her daughter; Patricia Hogeland; her grandson Adam Bryant, her parents; William Daniel and Hettie Leigh (King) Smith, 2 brothers and 1 sister.

She is survived by her husband; Bernard Daugette, children; Wayne and Wanda Daugette of Boaz, Sherry Pierce of Altoona, Gail and Robert Hafley of Altoona and Kenneth Joe and Frances Daugette of Altoona, 14 Grandchildren, 25 Great-Grandchildren, siblings; Melton Smith of Guntersville, Rickey and Pam Smith of Guntersville, Barbara and Troy Ashworth of Huntsville.

Brother Bill Meeks, Brother Travis Baird, and Brother Josh Brogdon will conduct the Funeral Service Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 2 P.M. in the Chapel of Snead Funeral Home with Interment in Hafley Family Cemetery in Altoona. Mrs. Daugette will Lie In State at Snead Funeral Home Tuesday from 5:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Wednesday from 8:30 A.M. until funeral time.

Pallbearers will be Friends and Family of Mrs. Daugette.

Honorary Pallbearers will be James Wilbert and All of the Amedisys Hospice Staff.
