Mr. Hubert James Brooks, age 90 of Snead, passed away Friday, May 29, 2020 at Albertville Select Rehab.
He is survived by his wife – Mildred Ruth Brooks of Snead; his son and daughter-in-law – Marlin and Pat Brooks of Grayson Valley; his grandchildren – Amy Bonner (Brian), Angela Ivey, Craig Brooks (Kristi), and Kristy Shigley (Len); his step-grandchildren – Gretchen Nunnally (Max) and Jason Crow; a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sisters – Gladys Pearl Brown (Melvin) of Gadsden, AL and Doris Jean Miller (James E.) of Starkville, MS; sister-in-law - Wilma Jean Brooks; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Brooks is preceded in death by his daughter – Linda Couch; his step-daughter - Cherie Stewart Stephens; his parents – Earnest Elmer and Willie Mae (Wagnon) Brooks; and his siblings and their spouses; Elmer Kline Brooks (Ophelia), Joseph Elwood Brooks (Evelyn), Olga Henry Brooks, Lebert Levoy Brooks, and Allie Louise Ely Marshall (Bob).
Brother John Gaines will conduct the Funeral Service on Monday, June 1, 2020 at 2:00 PM, at Antioch Church of Christ in Snead. Interment will follow at the adjoining cemetery. Mr. Brooks will Lie-In-Repose, at Snead Funeral Home, on Sunday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
Pallbearers will be – Craig Brooks, Brian Bonner, Luke Bonner, Christian Ivey, Len Shigley, and Tommy Munn.
The entire Brooks family would like to thank the Staff and Caregivers of Albertville Rehab Select for the love, compassion and excellent care that was provided for Mr. Brooks during his stay.
