Mr. Harold Ray Nance, age 63 of Snead, AL., passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at UAB Hospital.

Mr. Nance was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. He retired from Alabama Power Company after 42 years of service and was a former Assistant Fire Chief of Ivalee Fire Department. Harold cherished time with his wife and children. He was spending his retired days making custom lights and lamps. He enjoyed Alabama Football, working on the farm, and spending as much time as he could with his family. He will be remembered most for his hard working spirit, quick wit and unconditional love for his friends and family. Harold's loved one are finding comfort knowing that he is at peace in Heaven.

Harold is survived by his wife: Sharon Dunn Nance of Snead, AL.; his children: Paige Posey of Pelham, AL. and Ty Posey of Snead, AL.; his siblings: Burl and Carolyn Nance of Gadsden, AL., Clyde and Peggy Nance of Attalla, AL., Larry and Charlotte Nance of Attalla, AL., Kevin and Suzanne Nance of Attalla, AL., Gwen Campbell of Attalla, AL., Margaret and Charles Wilkinson of Gadsden, AL., and Donna and Mike Howington of Hokes Bluff, AL.; his brother-in-law: Jim Teal of Gadsden, AL.; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Mr. Nance is preceded in death by his parents: Ernie and Dorothy Noah Nance; his sister: Peggy Teal; his brother-in-law: Eddie Campbell; and his mother-in-law: Alvlene Dunn.

Funeral Service will be held Sunday, December 6, 2015 at 2:00pm at The Chapel of The Snead Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery. Mr. Nance will lie in state at Snead Funeral Home on Saturday from 5:30pm until 8:00pm and Sunday from 12 (noon) until funeral time.

Burl Nance, Larry Nance, Clyde Nance, Kevin Nance, Ty Posey, and Shane Howington will serve as pallbearers.
