Gladys June Price

With heavy hearts and fond remembrance, we announce the passing of Gladys June Price, who departed this world on July 16, 2026, after gracing it with her warmth and love for 76 cherished years. Born November 16, 1949, Gladys’s presence brought light to every room and comfort to every soul she encountered.

Gladys’s life was a tapestry woven with compassion, devotion, and unfailing kindness. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, she touched countless lives, pouring her heart into caring for her clients. Her work was not just a job—it was an extension of her generous spirit, and those under her care remember her with profound gratitude.

Family was the heart of Gladys’s world, and nothing gave her greater joy than gathering her loved ones close. She is survived by her devoted children: Jacky Price, Keith Price, and Gena Stipes (Terry), each of whom carry forward her legacy of strength and steadfast love. Her grandchildren—Brittany Proctor, Destiny Schmidt (Trey), Brandon Weston, Jason Weston, Eric Weston, Alanis Price, and Claudia Griffith—brought her immeasurable pride and happiness. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.

Gladys’s family circle also includes her beloved siblings: her brother, Jack Whited, and sisters, Vickey Gargus (Mark), Shirley Payne, and Judy Atkinson, all of whom cherished her bright laughter and unwavering support. She now joins in eternal rest her father, Johnny Whited; her mother, Frances Bearden Whited; her dear husband, Nathan Price; her much-missed sister, Linda Westin; and her brother, Tracy Price.

A woman of simple pleasures, Gladys found joy in the familiar and the heartfelt. She loved the timeless music of Elvis Presley and George Jones, often filling her home with their songs. She took comfort in the words of the Bible, reading its passages with quiet faith. Watching the Family Channel brought her moments of relaxation and laughter, while her kitchen was always warm with the aromas of home-cooked meals—a place where her love was ladled generously along with every serving.

Above all, Gladys’s devotion to her family was the true centerpiece of her life. She cherished each child, each grandchild, each sibling, holding their happiness close to her heart. Her wisdom, unconditional affection, and gentle humor created a legacy of love that will echo across generations.
