Mrs. Gladys Leona Beard, age 79 of Horton, passed away Monday, August 15, 2022 at Diversicare in Oneonta.

She is survived by her daughters – Kimberly Rowan (David) and Susan Tatum (Jeff); grandchildren – Christopher Guiles (Cheri Johnson), Chrystal Guiles Martin (Tyler), and Megan Bussell; great grandchildren – Kaylee Lynn Johnson, Pierce Hayden Martin, Adalynn Grace Johnson, Jaxon Gilliam Martin, Ever Lux McCaleb, Averly Blaire McCaleb, Elliot Ray Guiles, and Emmet Jay Guiles.

Mrs. Beard is preceded in death by her husband - Gilliam Franklin Beard; parents – Edward Milton and Junius Leona (Butler) Bunce; and siblings – Edward Bunce and Faye Wright.

Donna Jo Kent will conduct the Funeral Service on Friday, August 19, 2022 at 11:00 AM at The Chapel of The Snead Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Douglas Cemetery. Mrs. Beard will Lie-In-Repose, at Snead Funeral Home, Friday from 9:30 AM until Funeral Time.

Pallbearers will be – Jeffrey Tatum, Chris Guiles, Tyler Martin, David Rowan, Donavon Roby, and Vernon Bussell.
