Mrs. Gaynell Sheffield Hilburn, age 77 of Susan Moore, AL passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024 at her residence.

She is survived by her children – Max Hilburn, Jr. (Teresa), Aretha Cornelius (Thomas), and Mark Hilburn (Audrea); grandchildren – Manley Ray Hilburn (Marissa), Angel Chappell (Cody), Daniel Cornelius (Hannah), Elizabeth Cornelius (Juan Garcia), and Kyree Hilburn; great grandchildren – Willa Chappell, Orson Hilburn, Carson Chappell, Calvin Hilburn, Summitt Cornelius, and expecting baby Carter Cornelius; sister – Betty Jones (Gerald); niece and nephews – Becky (Juan) Espinoza, Greg (Michelle) Jones, and Patrick Jones and great nephew – Nicholas Espinoza .

Mrs. Hilburn is preceded in death by her great grandsons – Easton James Hilburn and Juan Garcia III; parents – Sylvester and Nannie Odell (Smith) Sheffield; and brother – Billy Ray Sheffield.

Brother Tommy Riggs and Brother Matthew Fallin will conduct the Funeral Service on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 11:00 AM at New Home #1 Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery. The family will receive friends, at New Home #1 Missionary Baptist Church, Sunday from 9:00 AM until Funeral Time.
