Gail Fountain

Gail Fountain, born on February 11, 1950, passed away on October 20, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved her dearly and a lifetime of memories that will be cherished forever.

Gail was a woman whose love could be seen in the everyday things that mattered most. She loved to cook and found joy in caring for those around her. She loved her church, and her faith was an important part of her life. Above all, Gail loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her so much happiness. Her husband, Ollie Fountain, was her whole world, and their 58 years of marriage were a beautiful testament to a love that stood the test of time.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Ollie Fountain; her daughters, Windy Jennings (Bubba), Diane Franks (Keith), and Cristy Cowan (David); her grandchildren, Derik Snell (Lacee), Brett Snell, Brook Sullivan (Chris), Hanna Farish (Steven), and Jayde Burbanks (Blaine); and her great-grandchildren, Jaxson Snell, Eli Snell, Abbigail Sullivan, Lavin Gillespie, Baylor Sullivan, Piper Snell, Maverick Farish, Lily Farish, and Harmony Burbanks. She is also survived by her sister, Rita Ledbetter (Mike), and her brothers, David Criswell (Tonya) and Phillip Criswell (Chylai).

Gail's family was her greatest blessing, and each of them will carry special memories of her love, her caring heart, and the important place she held in their lives.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ellie Criswell; her mother, Myra Mayo Criswell; her brother, Lee Criswell; and her sister, Jo Ann LaRue. Though they went before her, they remained a part of her story, and now she is reunited with those she loved and lost.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Gail during visitation on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Snead Funeral Home. A second visitation will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m., with burial at 1:00 p.m. at High Mound Cemetery.

Pallbearers who will lovingly carry Mrs. Gail Fountain to her final resting place are Derik Snell, Brett Snell, Chris Sullivan, Steven Farish, Blaine Burbanks, Heath Fountain, Jaxson Snell, and Eli Snell.

Gail will be remembered for the love she poured into her home, the faith she carried in her heart, and the devotion she gave so freely to her family. Her life touched the hearts of those around her, and the love she shared will live on through the generations. She will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who knew her.
