Mrs. Eva Mae (Mardis) Adams, age 90 of the Bright Star Community in Horton, AL, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Hanceville Nursing Home.
Mrs. Adams loved her family and was a great home maker. Her favorite things to do were to cook, cross stitch, quilt, sew for her family, and faithfully attended New Prospect Baptist Church. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law – James and Mary Adams of the Bright Star Community of Horton, AL.; her son - Kenneth Adams of the Bright Star Community in Horton, AL.; her son and daughter-in-law - Mickel and Cindy Adams of Colorado, and her son and daughter-in-law - Raymond and Beth Adams of the Wynnville Community in Susan Moore, AL.; her grandson and his wife – Todd and DonNeeysa Adams; her grandson and his wife - Darrel and Jennifer Adams; her granddaughter - Monica "Missy" Hooper; her grandson - Shane Adams; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Adams is preceded in death by her husband - James "Buck" Adams; her grandson – Greg Adams; her parents – Isaac and Selema (Morton) Mardis; her daughter-in-law – Gail Adams; her brothers – Howard Mardis, John Waid Mardis, and Huley Mardis; and her sisters – Teresa French and Reba Smith.
Brother Kenneth Shelton will conduct the Funeral Service, Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 1:00 P.M., at The Chapel of the Snead Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Adams will lie in repose, at Snead Funeral Home, Friday from 5:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until funeral time.
Pallbearers will be Lamond Dendy, Gene Startley, and Ronald Creel.
