Mr. Eugene "Danny" Howell, Jr., of Allgood, AL., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at the age of 57.

Mr. Howell was a kind, loving, devoted, husband, daddy, and papa. He loved his Lord most of all and made sure his family was raised in a Christian Home. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Danny is survived by his wife Monica Calvert Howell of Allgood, AL.; his children Sandra Howell Alvis (Jason) of Cullman, AL., Keith Howell (Misty) of McClarty, AL., Christy Howell (Josh Makofsky) of Blountsville, AL., and Melissa Howell (William Dixon) of Allgood, AL.;
his grandchildren Michael Alvis, Breanna Alvis, Haleigh Howell, Hannah Howell, Jacob Howell, Coda Barnett, Cayden Makofsky, Emma Makofsky, Riley Hopson, Kyler Hopson, and Destinie Dixon; and his siblings Diana Duram (Jack) of Birmingham, AL., Tammy Smith (Barton) of Texas, Rita Blackmon of Pinson, AL., and Ray Blackmon (Michelle) of Oneonta, AL.

Danny is preceded in death by his granddaughter Juliann Howell; his mother Shirley Dukes Blackmon; his father Eugene Howell, Sr.; and his sister Denise Melvin.

Robbie Burtram and Doyle Spinks will conduct the funeral service on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 @ 1pm at the Chapel of Snead Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Mr. Howell will lie in state at Snead Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5:30pm until 8:00pm and on Wednesday from 8:00am until funeral time.

The service will include the reading of the obituary, scripture from the Holy Bible, a God given message, the singing of Mr. Howell's favorite songs, which will include, "Beulah Land", "The Light House", "Amazing Grace", "Just A Closer Walk With Thee", and "I'll Fly Away." The casket will be open and the service will end with a final viewing so the congregation will have an opportunity to pay their respects to Mr. Howell and the Howell Family.

Kevin Snelson, David Nolan, Josh Makofsky, Sam Nolan, Tommy Montgomery, and Dennis Bailey will serve as Pallbearers.

Melvin Foss will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer.
