Emma Wilemon, age 89 of Walnut Grove, passed away Oct. 5, 2024 at home. She was born lola Emma Lee Blakley on Sept. 27, 1935 in Walnut Grove AL to Orisa and Verdie (Nix) Blakley.

Mrs. Wilemon was of the Baptist faith and lived most of her life in Alabama and Florida. She dedicated her life to taking loving care of her family and working hard to help support them.

Mrs. Wilemon is survived by her daughter Donna (Fernando) Balderrama, sister Veralene Blakley Wilemon, grandchildren Melissa Sanchez, Jeremy (Avitra) Wilemon, Scott Driskel, Jamey (Ashley) Wilemon, Teresa Balderrama, and Aaron Balderrama. Great grandchildren are Sydney Mossman, Brenden Sanchez, Marcos Sanchez, Hunter Wilemon, Kinzly Wilemon, Jeremy Putman, Destiny Driskel, Blake Wilemon, Kaydence Wilemon, Dillon Walker, and Case Walker. There are five great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Wilemon is preceded in death by her parents Orisa and Verdie (Nix) Blakley, Buel Wilemon, her husband of 50 years, brother, James Blakley, her daughters, Sharon Wilemon and Cheryl Driskel, her son, Philip Wilemon, and her brother-in-law, Bill Wilemon.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 2:00 PM at The Chapel of The Snead Funeral Home, located at 170 Richman Drive, Snead AL. The family will receive visitors at Snead Funeral Home from 12:30 PM until funeral time. Burial will follow at Samuels Chapel Cemetery, 625 Samuels Chapel Road, Altoona, AL 35952.

Pallbearers will be – Blake Wilemon, Marcos Sanchez, Hunter Wilemon, Sydney Mossman, Jeremy Driskel, Dillon Walker, Scott Driskel, Jeff Wilemon, and Joey Wilemon.
