Mr. Edwin Lee Wilson, age 62 of Allgood, Alabama, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013 at his residence.
Mr. Wilson was born September 2, 1950 to Roy and Kathleen (Sanders) Wilson. He proudly served in The United States Army as a Combat Medic during the Vietnam War. He served on the Allgood Town Council for the past 12 years and was a Stone Mason by trade. His rock work was featured in The Southern Living Magazine. Mr. Wilson also had an article published about him in The Alabama Outdoors Magazine for his fishing on Inland Lake.
He is survived by his wife; Becky Pearson Wilson, daughter; Shannon Hollingsworth and husband Matthew of Locust Fork, daughter; Linda Wilson of Allgood, and son; Edwin Lee Wilson, Jr. and wife Barbara of Blountsville; grandchildren; Caleb Hollingsworth, Ashley Hollingsworth, Kyle Hollingsworth, Mark Williams, and DeLynn Williams; brother; Larry Wilson of Oneonta, brother; Joey Wilson and wife Brenda of Susan Moore, brother; Robert Wilson of Oneonta, sister; Kathy Kemisty and husband Walt of Wilson Chapel, sister; Deborah Ford and husband Rick of Oakman, and sister; Emma Fulenwider and husband Derrick of Arab.
Brother Johnny Alexander and Brother Garland Terry will conduct the Funeral Service at Autumnwoods Church in Rosa, Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 11 A.M. Interment will follow at Tidwell Cemetery in Allgood. The family will receive friends, at Snead Funeral Home, Tuesday from 5:30 P.M. until 8 P.M. and Wednesday from 8 A.M. until 10 A.M.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Wilson, Tommy Wilson, Kyle Williams, Caleb Hollingsworth, Mark Williams and Jeremy Chaviers.
Mr. Wilson is going home to meet his parents and brother Roy Lynn Wilson.
