Mr. Edward Yancey, 87 of Snead, Alabama, was born on January 31, 1938, to Bud and Leona (Whitt) Yancey and passed away on August 01, 2025, at UAB St. Vincent's Blount Hospital. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Joe Yancey and Larry Yancey.

Mr. Yancey is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Bonnie Yancey; his son, Scott Yancey; his "precious" grandchildren, Jaret Yancey, Kesley Yancey (fiancé, Braxton McClelland), and Kali Yancey Ponstein (Aaron); his sisters, Shirley Cunningham and Betty Painter; his brothers, Lester Yancey and B.C. Yancey; his brothers-in-law, Jerry Painter and James LeCroy; his sisters-in-law, Betty Phillips, Joyce LeCroy, and Joyce Yancey; and his daughter-in-love, Paula McLaurin.

Brother Dewey Grimsley, Brother Tim Roland, and Brother Lance Grimsley will conduct the Funeral Service on Monday, August 04, 2025, at 11:00 am at Snead Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery in Snead, Alabama. The family will receive friends, at Snead Funeral Home, on Monday beginning at 9:30 am. In lieu of flowers the family has requested for donations to be made to Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery Fund.

Chris Yancey, Jay Alsup, James LeCroy, Larry Brooks, Danny Brothers, Shannon Woods, Russell Yancey, and Aaron Ponstein have been asked to serve as Pallbearers.
