Mrs. Dorothy Jean Mayo, age 82 of Snead, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022.

She is survived by her husband – Billy Max Mayo; daughter – Marsha Umphrey (Frankie); son – Joel Mayo (Donna); grandchildren – Josh Umphrey (Neva) and Amanda Allen (William); great grandchildren – Jackson Umphrey, Easton Mashburn, and Molly Mashburn; siblings – Jo Logan, Jerry Ray Payne (Marion), and Cathy Hutchens (Len); as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Mayo is preceded in death by her parents – R.E. and Estelle (Lett) Payne; and sister – Mary Sue Battles.

Brother Frankie Umphrey will conduct the Funeral Service on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at The Chapel of The Snead Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Wynnville Cemetery.  Mrs. Mayo will Lie-In-Repose, at Snead Funeral Home, Friday from 12:00 P.M. until Funeral Time.

Pallbearers will be – Gary Cornelious, Craig Cornelious, Jeremy Hutchens, Len Hutchens, William Allen, and Jerry Payne, Jr.

The family would like to give special thanks to Southern Care Hospice, Sherri Seaton and Angie Rogers for the care of our wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
