Donna Lynn Sterling

SEPTEMBER 20, 1968 - SEPTEMBER 08, 2025

Donna Sterling, also known as 'Granny with the orange hair' by her granddaughters, was born September 20, 1968, and left this earthly home on September 08, 2025.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and June Clem; her brother, Billy Clem; and her sister-in-law, Jackie Clem.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Jesse Johnson; and her daughter, Beth Ballew; her sister, Karen (Phillip) Scott; her brother, Bobby Clem; her brother, Eric (Dana) Clem; her granddaughters, Makayla Ballew, Miranda Ballew, and Cheyanne Johnson; her nieces, Kirsten Jones (Junior), Tera Myrick, Robin Paul, and Rachel Clem; her nephews, Keith Clem and Josh Clem (Brianna); and a host of great nieces and great nephews.

To know her was to love her. Donna was a life long resident of Blount County, Alabama. She loved her family with all her heart and would go to war for any of them especially her granddaughters. She loved having family gatherings and spending time with them and telling stories.

She knew everyone, and if you didn't know who someone was just ask Donna because she would know who they were and their relatives. She never met a stranger. She had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off her back and wouldn't ask for anything in return. She loved to travel, especially to Gatlinburg. She loved going to yard sales & thrift stores and could always find the best deals.

Kenneth Adams will conduct the Funeral Service on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Snead Funeral Home. The family will receive friends, at Snead Funeral Home, on Thursday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Friday from 10:00 AM until funeral time.
