Donald Lee Dunn, passed away on August 19, 2022 at 84 years old. He died at his home in Snead, Alabama, with all three of his children & some of his grandchildren taking turns shelling peas and holding his hand. It was perfectly fitting for a man who thought he needed a garden every year - even if the freezers were full and he wasn't able to work it.

Everyone who knew him knows he was quick with a joke to make you laugh or a helping hand for anyone in need. He loved people, and he never met a stranger he couldn't quickly turn into a friend. His last days were hard and painful, and his family is celebrating that he is walking in Glory with no pain and breathing easy now!

He is survived by his children Sharon (Keith) James of Snead, Alabama, Debbie (Roger) Tidmore of Arab, Alabama, and Dennis (Brandy Sullins) Dunn of Snead, Alabama. He is also survived by grandchildren Paige (Mason) Grimes of Snead, Alabama, Ty (Cheyenne) Posey of Snead, Alabama, Bradley Dunn of Snead, Alabama, Lee Tidmore of Arab, Alabama, Daniel Bradford of Blountsville, Alabama, Blake (Brooke) Bradford of Blountsville, Alabama, Abigail Sullins of Snead, Alabama, and Matthew Pugh of Arab, Alabama as well as 11 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife Alvlene Burgett Dunn, his son-in-law Harold Nance, his sister and brother-in-law Betty and Arnon Young, his brother and sister-in-law James and Avo Dunn, and his parents Sophie LaRue and Joe "Crockett" Dunn.

Brother Ken Shelton and Dennis Maze will conduct the Funeral Service on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at 2:00 PM at The Chapel of The Snead Funeral Home. Mr. Dunn will Lie In Repose, at Snead Funeral Home, Sunday from 12:30 PM until Funeral Time.

Pallbearers will be - Bradley Dunn, Daniel Bradford, Blake Bradford, Lee Tidmore, Ty Posey, and Greg Posey.
