Mrs. Dera Miller, age 90 of the Murphree Valley Community of Oneonta, AL., passed away Monday, January 16, 2017 at Diversicare Nursing Home in Oneonta.

Mrs. Miller is survived by her daughter - Martha Faye Knight of Glencoe, AL.; her son and daughter-in-law - Charles and Glenda Hill of Blountsville, AL.; her grandson - Chad Hill of Blountsville, AL.; her grandson and his wife - Brad and Donna Hill of the Murphree Valley Community; her granddaughter and her husband - Katrina and Eddie Roberson of Snead, AL,; her grandson - Terry Knight; her grandson - Tim Knight; her great granddaughter and her husband - Kaitlyn and Dylan Kyler; her great grandchildren - Kyler, Evan, Jonna, Judah, and Jenkins; her sister - Lillian Turner; and her sister and brother-in-law - Flossie and Jay Brackner.

She is preceded in death by her parents - Emmett Oscar and Addie Parsons Chastain; her sister - Martha Smart; and her brothers - Kenneth Chastain, Hudson Chastain, Carpenter Chastain, and Oscar Chastain.

Chad Hill will conduct the funeral service Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 12 p.m. at The Chapel of the Snead Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in the Murphree Valley Community of Altoona, AL.. Mrs. Miller will lie in repose at Snead Funeral Home Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until funeral time.
