Ms. Debra Jean (Phillips) Morin, age 67, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023 at St. Vincent's East in Birmingham.

Debra spent the majority of her life taking care of others. She worked as a registered nurse for many years, most famous to her patients as 'the nurse who sings Christmas songs year round.' She loved her family and her friends so very much. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Redeemed Ministries and/or Her Recovery as both are very special to her family and dear to Debra's heart.

She is survived by her daughter – Joette Holland (Brad); granddaughters – Cyndal, Maycee, and Ally; sister – Shelia Nash; niece – Angie Noojin; nephew – Stephen Nash; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces; grandchildren – Jacob Cuzzort and Lindsey Allison and great grandchildren.

Ms. Morin is preceded in death by her husband of 12 years – Joey C. Spears; mother – Annie Jo Jackson; father – J.T. Phillips; sisters – Tricia Moctezuma, Charlotte Tibbs, and Tammy Davis; and step-daughter – Gina Spears.

Ms. Morin's wishes were to be cremated.

A Memorial Service will be held at Redeemed Ministries Church on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at 3:00 PM.
