Mrs. Deborah Geniece Salter, age 68 of Altoona, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022 surrounded by her husband, children, and her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending her time outdoors planting flowers, indoors canning for the winter, and playing with her grandchildren. She loved the Lord and his creation, especially The Smoky Mountains.

She is survived by her husband – Ralph Edison Salter, Jr.; sons – Ben Salter (Jennifer) and Ralph Edison Salter, III 'Trey' (Nicole); grandchildren – Dylan, Madison, Noah, Annabelle, Abigail, Amelia 'Millie', and Logan; brother – Michael Clem; brothers-in-law – David Salter and Kenneth Salter; sisters-in-law – Terri Salter, Ruth Sutherland, and Libby McCay; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Mrs. Salter is preceded in death by her mother – Roberta Owen Clem; brother – Charles 'Owen' Clem; father-in-law – Ralph Edison Salter, Sr.; mother-in-law – Nellie Cory Salter; brother-in-law – Steve Salter; sister-in-law – Martha Gillilan; and nephew – Michael Clem.

Brother Harvey Beck will conduct the Funeral Service on Monday, June 20, 2022 at 11:00 AM at The Chapel of The Snead Funeral Home. Interment will follow at High Mound Cemetery. Mrs. Salter will Lie In Repose, at Snead Funeral Home, Sunday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Monday from 10:00 AM until Funeral Time.

Pallbearers will be – family and friends.
