David Earl Beard

David Earl Beard, deeply cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed from this life on July 13, 2026, in Albertville, at the age of 62. Born on November 15, 1963, David’s journey was marked by selfless love, steadfast faith, and an infectious vitality that touched every life he encountered.

Those who loved David knew he was always moving—he found fulfillment in keeping busy, whether tending to his yard, pursuing a hard day’s work, or heading off to cast a line for another day of fishing. He loved the water, where he could savor both the serenity and thrill that fishing provided, often returning home with stories and memories that delighted his children and grandchildren.

David’s deepest devotion was to his family. His sons, Steven Beard (Mary) and David Allen Beard, were his pride, and his grandchildren—Dylan Beard, Rickey Wayde Beard, and Brooklynn Beard—were the light of his later years. No one could speak with David for long before he turned the conversation to his grandkids, with unmistakable warmth growing in his voice. Whether it was watching them play or hearing of their latest adventures, he reveled in their happiness and their promise.

David was a man rooted in community and faith. He loved being a part of Shepherds Way Church in Boaz—a place and a people who nurtured his spirit through both the joyful and difficult chapters of life. His presence there was constant, marked by quiet encouragement, open-hearted worship, and the genuine bonds he formed with fellow congregants.

Family meant everything to David. He is mourned and lovingly remembered by his brother Wayne Beard, his sister Juanita Doss (Preston), his brother Harold Lee, his sister Lyla Beard, and by his special friend, Sue Scott. Their grief is softened only by countless memories of shared laughter, support, and the deep connection that siblings and lifelong friends carry. The love of those gone before, including his father R.L. Beard and mother Dollie Fountain Beard, brothers Kenneth Lee and R.L. Beard Jr., and sisters Billie Faye Beard and Gail Beard, shaped who David became and lives on in the bonds he maintained here on earth.

To all who knew him, David’s dedication to family, faith, and the satisfaction of an honest day’s work defined his legacy. He was the one you could count on to lend a hand, the one who never missed a chance to take his grandkids fishing, and the one whose care and attention made every holiday, and even the simplest of days, feel a little brighter. Most of all, David had a true love for Jesus Christ.

Friends and loved ones are invited to honor David Earl Beard’s life on Friday, July 17, 2026. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 PM. He will be laid to rest at Ebenezer Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
