Dan "Mossrock" Moody
May 18, 1942 - May 20, 2023

Dan Moody, 81, passed peacefully at his home on Saturday May, 20th.

Dan is survived by his wife of 61 years, Gayle Moody, his five children, Dean Moody (Robin), Georgia Pankey (Terry), Sherry Renfroe (Lee), Lorinda Brooks (Tim), Mark Moody, 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, brothers Jerry Moody and Joe Moody (Vickie), sisters Estelle Gautney and Diane McAnally (Lamar).

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and spending time with family. He owned his own business for many years hauling building stone.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Ruby Jo Moody, grandsons Brandon Jones and Dylan Moody, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Pallbearers: Derrick Brooks, Tim Brooks, Terry Pankey, Austin Renfroe, Lee Renfroe, Marlon Thomason.

Honorary Pallbearers: Anthony Moody, Chris Moody, Ryan Moody.

The family would like to express their deepest heartfelt gratitude to Amedisys Hospice Care.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Snead Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 24th at 12:00 PM with burial immediately following at Moody Family Cemetery. Brother Bobby Ray Smart and Brother Tyler Gilliland will be officiating. Visitation will be held at Snead Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 23rd  from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Wednesday, and  May 24th from 11:00 AM until Service Time.
