Mr. Vondell "Dale" Sparks, age 85 of Snead, AL., passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at St. Vincent's East in Birmingham.

He is survived by his daughter – Lori Morrossitti of Mississippi, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; his sister – Pat Lauffer (Larry) of New Lennox, IL; his brother – Jerry Sparks (Regina) of The Bright Star Community of Horton, AL., as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Mr. Sparks is preceded in death by his wife – Sue Sparks, his son – Ricky Sparks; his daughter – Lanette Sparks; and his parents – Edgar and Annie Lee (Umphrey) Sparks; and his siblings - Iva Holt, Ewayne Sparks, and Bobby Sparks.

Brother Wes Lowery will conduct the Funeral Service on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 2:00 PM at New Emmaus Missionary Baptist Church.  Interment will follow at Wynnville Cemetery.  Mr. Sparks will Lie In Repose, at Snead Funeral Home, Friday from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM and Saturday, at New Emmaus Missionary Baptist Church from 1:00 PM until Funeral Time.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.
