Mrs. Claudie V Owen, age 89 of Snead, AL., passed away on Friday, October 2, 2015 at Marshall Medical Center South.

Mrs. Owen is survived by her husband: O. Neal Owen of Snead, AL.; her children: Joe David Kilpatrick of Athens, AL., Regina Faye Kilpatrick Fowler James of Snead, AL., and Wichien "Ott" Choosilp of Athens, AL.; her grandson: Josh and Kim Johnson of Snead, AL.; her great grandson: Elli Dewayne Johnson of Snead, AL.; her sister: Melli Dendy of Boaz, AL.; two special caregivers: Maria Ramariz and Hollie Watkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

She is predeceased by her first husband: Robert Verbon Kilpatrick; her parents: Mack and Nannie Hamby Irvin; her sisters: Vencie D., Tannie Mae, Fannie B., Mattie, Annie Lee, Maudie, and Nellie Faye; her brothers: Onzlo, Ellis, Dalton, Odell, Covie, Verlie, and Ralph; and her sons-in-law: Wayne "Poly" Fowler and Bill James.

Brother Joey Smith will conduct the 2:00pm funeral service on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at The Chapel of Snead Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Morton's Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Owen will lie in state at Snead Funeral Home on Saturday from 5:30pm until 8:00pm and Sunday from 12(noon) until funeral time.

Larry Brewer, Lynn Brothers, Edward Earl Brown, Phillip Dendy, Billy Irvin, Bryant Irvin, Mackie Irvin, Micky Irvin, Johnny Irvin, Gary Kilpatrick, Kenney Kilpatrick, Garnett Rigsby, Max Rigsby, Ben Salter, Trey Salter, Roy Wadkins, and Ronnie Wallace will serve as Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers.
