Mrs. Cheryn LaRue Harris
April 27, 1962 – January 19, 2025

With a heart as bright as the flowers she loved and a spirit as free as the birds she admired, Mrs. Cheryn LaRue Harris, age 62, of Snead, Alabama, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 19, 2025.

Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Cheryn was a proud Texan, but she was equally happy to make Alabama her home. She carried with her a warmth and resilience that made everyone feel at home in her presence. She was more than a devoted wife, mother, and friend—she was a light in the lives of all who knew her.

She spent over 20 years as the price coordinator at Piggly Wiggly, known affectionately as "The Pig," where her infectious laughter and kind heart made customers feel like family. Whether sharing a warm smile in the aisles or swapping stories at the register, she had a way of making everyday moments special.

Beyond her work, Cheryn found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved the thrill of a good yard sale and the treasures hidden in thrift stores. She could piece together even the trickiest of puzzles, just as she pieced together love and laughter in her home. And when the music played, she was the first on the dance floor, often winning contests with her effortless moves and vibrant spirit.

She also loved traveling and riding motorcycles with her husband, embracing adventure and creating lasting memories wherever they went.

Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she cherished her time at her family church, where she found peace, community, and purpose. She found beauty in every flower that bloomed and every bird that sang, embodying the gentle grace of nature in the way she cared for those around her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Paul Jeffery Harris, Sr.; her devoted children, Cheryn LeAnn Shiver and Paul Jeffery Harris, Jr.; and her brother, James Randyll Browning. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Browning and Ima Loviea Beago Browning.

A Memorial Service to celebrate her beautiful life will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Antioch Church of Christ in Snead, Alabama.

Cheryn's love, kindness, and joyful spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, her laughter, love, and the warmth of her presence will forever be felt in the memories she leaves behind
