Cayden Blake Britt passed away November 11, 2022 at 15 years young.

Cayden was born in Birmingham, AL on February 16, 2007.  From the moment he was born he brought joy.  He grew up happy with his family and active in sports, moving around a few times, and attending different schools, until he settled into his favorite place in the town he said he wanted to be forever.

Cayden was well known in his school and community both for his skill in sports and service for others.  He was a sophomore at Susan Moore High School, where he was an amazing athlete playing Football, Baseball, and Basketball (his greatest true love). He was an incredibly hard worker and devoted several hours after school and on the weekends to helping out and working for people all over the community.

Cayden never met a stranger, and made friends with people at all ages and levels of ability.  He had the biggest heart and sweetest soul.  He was a loyal, uplifting, and loving son, brother, grandchild, nephew, cousin, teammate, and friend.  He was always smiling, making jokes, and lighthearted.  A truly unforgettable person that you couldn't help but to like and love.  He made a lasting impression on this world and his beautiful bright light will shine on forever.  We have peace knowing he is Home with his Lord and Savior and comfort knowing our broken chain will link again with him one day.

He is survived by his parents – Dustin & Chrishelle Britt; brothers – Cohen Britt and Charley Britt; grandparents – Michelle Sims and Danny & Tammy Britt; great grandparents – Maxine Reese, Phyllis Campbell, and Gene & Bonnie Pope; aunts and uncles – Kelsey & Ryland Dixon, Alex & Emily Sims, Destiny Sims, and Daniel & Maddie Britt; 5 Cousins, as well as a host of extended family and friends that loved him dearly.

Cayden is preceded in death by his grandfather – Stan Sims; and great grandfather – George Reese; uncle – Dylan Britt.

A Celebration of Cayden's Life will be Sunday, November 20, 2022 at 2:30 PM at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Christian Life Center.  Burial will follow at Wynnville Cemetery. Cayden's family will receive friends, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Christian Life Center, Sunday from 12:30 PM until Service Time.

Cayden loved everyone and would want all his guests to be comfortable.  Please feel free to dress casual, in your school attire, or dress clothes.

Cayden was devoted to his immense love and talent in sports and hoped to extend his passion beyond high school into college and beyond.  He won't get that chance, but would want others to have the opportunity.  In Lieu of Flowers the family is asking for donations to be made to the "Cayden Britt Memorial Athletic Scholarship Fund, c/o Susan Moore High School, 4040 Susan Moore Road, Blountsville, AL 35031.
