Mrs. Carolyn Turner Sanders Olinger, age 80 of Walnut Grove, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Shepherd's Cove Hospice.

Carolyn was born and raised in Blount County. She married in 1956 and also raised her family primarily in Blount county, attending several different Churches, and working at Springvalley Foods in Blountsville, and GTE in Huntsville. She was a loving mother, blessed giver and homemaker, always putting her family first. Most of all, she loved her Jesus.

She is survived by her children – Kenneth Sanders (Icy), and Alecia Sanders Cox (Bill); grandchildren – Andrew Sanders (Rachel), Travis Cox (Kristin), Randi Cox Bett (Tristan), and Lawayne Nunnelley (Stacey); great grandchildren – Erin Sanders, Wyatt Cox, Rory Cox, Rhys Garland, Everett Cox, Ella Sanders, and Ebony Nunnelley; and sister – Rebecca Turner Mason; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Olinger is preceded in death by her husband – Ray Sanders; husband – Bill Olinger; father – Grady Turner; mother – Savannah Bellew Turner; and siblings – Orella Stone, Mamie Allred, and Kenneth Turner.

Reverend Kenneth Sanders, Alecia Sanders Cox, and Andrew Sanders will conduct the Funeral Service on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 11:00 AM at The Chapel of the Snead Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hood Cemetery.  Mrs. Olinger will Lie-In-Repose, at Snead Funeral Home, Thursday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Friday from 10:00 AM until Funeral Time.

Pallbearers will be – Travis Cox, Andrew Sanders, Hayden Floyd, Jeff Floyd, Rick Ford, and Jerry Helms.
