Miss Candace Nicole Guajardo, age 18 passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012. Candace was a member of the 2012 Senior Class of Susan Moore High School and was crowned Miss Purple and Gold 2012. She was a straight "A" student and employed at Jacks in Snead.
Candace is survived by her Parents: James & Celeste Handley of Blountsville, Anjelito & Jeannie Guajardo of Oneonta, Siblings: Candida Guajardo and her husband C. J. Yancey of Blountsville, Candra Guajardo of Oneonta, Brandon and April Handley of Arab, Dusty Payne of Oneonta, Cassandra and Alex Messier of Walnut Grove, and Cearra and Jacob Pounds of Walnut Grove, Grandparents: Cynthia LeBlanc of Snead, Linda Handley of Arab, and Tommie Barnes of Tennessee, Great Grandmother: Bernita Laminack of Susan Moore, Aunts and Uncles: Rene' Whittington, Henry Guajardo, Dorothy Hernendez, and a host of Cousins.
Candace is preceded in death by her Grandmother: Ruby Sanders and Uncle: Andy Guajardo.
Brother Steve Bush, Brother Joey Kirby, and Brother Bill Barnett will conducted the Funeral Service
Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Bethel Baptist Church with Snead Funeral Home Directing. Brother Brett Glass, Valedictorian for the 2012 Susan Moore High School Senior Class, spoke on behalf of his class about their love for Candace and the impact she had on all their lives. Interment followed at Wynnville Cemetery. Visitation was held at Bethel Baptist Church, Friday, May 11, 2012 from 4:30PM - 8:00PM and Saturday, May 12, 2012 from 8AM until funeral time.
Pallbearers were John Whittington, Kody Rhodes, Jacob Pounds, Alex Messier, Brandon Handley, and Orin Cooper.
