Mrs. Bonnie Ruth (Hood) Morton, age 80 of The Royal Community, passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham.

She is survived by her children – Terry E. Morton, Delena Merritt, and Melissa Askew Tyler (Eddie); grandchildren – Joshua Brandon Askew (Reece), Ashley Holcomb, Kimberly Putman, Amanda Tyler, Kimberly Tyler, Austin Tyler, and Jacob McKee; great grandchildren – Damian Askew, Jeremiah Askew, Eli Johnson, Jaxon Johnson, Serena Speegle, and Isiah Russell; brother – Glenn Hood (Joan); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Mrs. Morton is preceded in death by her husband – Dorman E. Morton; daughter – Diana Michelle Morton; parents – A.G and Venie Hood; and siblings – Lora Mae Chamblee, Laura Jean Myrick, Joe David Hood, and Ronnie Hood.

Brother Ed Warren will conduct the Funeral Service on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at The Chapel of The Snead Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Morton will Lie-In-Repose, at Snead Funeral Home, Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be her family and friends.

Honorary pallbearers will be her Great Grandchildren.
