Mrs. Bonna Carol Smith Hopper, age 69 of Altoona, Alabama, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Hopper loved her family and friends dearly. She enjoyed playing cards, sewing anything for her family, and making curtains.

Mrs. Hopper is survived by her children - Regina Hopper of Altoona,AL, Chris Hopper (Heather Walker) of Altoona, AL and Matt Hooper of Altoona, AL; her grandchildren - Whitney Hopper of Altoona, AL, Dylan Hopper of Attalla, AL and Shon Hopper of Sardia, AL; sisters - Darnell and Billy Tucker of Altoona, AL, Connie and Junior Wilemon of Altoona, AL, and Jeaneda Wasylenka of Altoona, AL; and brothers - Warren Smith of Boaz, AL, Stewart Smith of Attalla, AL, Craig Smith of Altoona, AL, and Tim and Sybil Smith of Altoona, AL.

She is preceded in death by her husband - Roger Hopper; parents - Charles Smith, Jr., and Bonnie Jean Smith.

Brother Tim Smith will conduct the funeral service Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 2:00 PM in The Chapel of The Snead Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pineview Cemetery. Mrs. Hopper will lie in repose at Snead Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until funeral time.

Jeffery Wilemon, Michael Wilemon, Robert Hopper, Dylan Hopper, Shon Hopper, Andy Hopper, Spud Garnett, and Cameron Horseley will serve as Pallbearers.

Kent Vaughn, Edward Hopper, Keith Vaughn, Mitchell McLendon, and Robert Morrison will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the staff at Shepherd's Cove Hospice, Patsy Young, Cameron Horsley, Jeaneda Wasylenka, Connie Wilemon and Courtney Wilemon.
