Mrs. Bobbie Anne (Freeman) Hyatt, age 93 of Snead, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2021 at The Olive Home in Oneonta.
Mrs. Hyatt was born December 22, 1927 to William Marvin Freeman and Lily (Wright) Freeman. She earned a B.S. from Athens College (now Athens University) in Athens, Alabama; M.S. from Peabody College (now School of Education, Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee); and additional study at Southwest Seminary, Ft. Worth, Texas.
She taught Business Education at J.B. Pennington, Fairview, Douglas and Susan Moore High Schools, as well as Snead College. She was the Secretary at First Baptist Church, Old Hickory, Tennessee and First Baptist Church Huntsville.
She is survived by great nephew – Brian Freeman; great niece; Tricia (Joyle) Walthall; as well as numerous cousins and many former students.
Mrs. Hyatt is preceded in death by husband – James W. Hyatt; parents – William Marvin Freeman and Lily (Wright) Freeman; sister – Gladys Freeman; brothers – Joel Freeman and Randall Freeman; and sister-in-law – Thelma Freeman; nephew – Robert Freeman.
Brother Robbie Burtram and Dr. Phillip Cleveland will conduct the Funeral Service on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at The Chapel of The Snead Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Hyatt will Lie-In-Repose, at Snead Funeral Home, Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until Funeral Time.
Pallbearers will be – John Gentry, Danny Morton, Lee Morton, Alan Smith, Phillip Smith, David Copeland, Dennis Maze, and Robert Wright.
